Final Episode Of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Legacy of the First Blade Out Now

The third and final episode of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey’s first DLC chapter is out now. Titled ‘Bloodline’ - players with the Season Pass can download it across PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Check out the trailer and press release below.

Protect the Assassin’s Legacy in Bloodline, the Final Episode of Legacy of the First Blade, Available Now

Montreal — March 5, 2019 — Today, Ubisoft announced that Bloodline, the final episode of the first post-launch story arc of Assassin’s Creed® Odyssey Legacy of the First Blade, is now available on the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, the Xbox One family of devices including Xbox One X and Windows PC.

In Bloodline, the third and final episode of Legacy of the First Blade, our hero will finally face the mysterious villain who has been playing puppet master throughout the story arc. After a brutal attack, players will try to protect the Assassin’s legacy by fighting against those who are trying to eradicate the Tainted Ones.

Each episode of Legacy of the First Blade features a new ability for each branch of the skill tree: Hunter, Warrior and Assassin. While the first two episodes introduced new Assassin and Hunter abilities, this third and final episode will present players with a new Warrior ability, Fury of the Bloodline. It will allow players to unleash a series of devastating blows with the Spear of Leonidas, increasing the number of attacks with each level.

To access Bloodline, players must have completed Hunted and Shadow Heritage, the first and second episodes of Legacy of the First Blade, and the Naxos questline in Chapter 7 of the main story of the game and must have reached character level 28 or above.

The Assassin’s Creed Odyssey post-launch plan is the biggest and most ambitious in the franchise, and the launch of Legacy of the First Blade is just the beginning for players who wish to progress further with new content in Ancient Greece. Season pass owners will access two major episodic storylines, Legacy of the First Blade and The Fate of Atlantis. Players can dive into new episodes as they premiere, or experience the epic adventures in their entirety once all episodes are available. The season pass also includes Assassin’s Creed® III Remastered and Assassin’s Creed® III Liberation Remastered and will be released on March 29 on PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, the Xbox One family of devices including Xbox One X and Windows PC.

The Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Season Pass includes the two story arcs, Legacy of the First Blade and The Fate of Atlantis, and can be purchased for $49.99. Legacy of the First Blade is also available separately for $34.99. The full story arc of Legacy of the First Blade is now downloadable for players who already own the season pass or the Gold Edition. The first episode of the second story arc, The Fate of Atlantis, will release in late April.

EA and Bioware Releases Anthem - Out Now On PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC

Bioware and EA have releases the highly anticipated Anthem today on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. It has had a rocky launch so far, with a lot of gamers complaining about the online shooter - including the loading times. Blue Isle Studios Releasing Valley On Switch In March

Continuing the trend of Canadian games being ported to Switch, Blue Isle Studios have announced their first person adventure game Valley is hitting the Nintendo Switch next month on March 7th. Starlink: Battle for Atlas Getting More Starfox Content In An Upcoming Update

During today’s Nintendo Direct it was announced that Starlink: Battle for Atlas will be getting another update, and it’ll include some extra Starfox content. You’ll be able to play as Falco, Peppy, and Slippy taking on Star Wolf’s crew. The new update is expected in April, and can check out the direct below.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey Legacy of the First Blade Episode 2 Out Now

Ubisoft have already released Episode 1 to their first Assassin’s Creed Odyssey DLC Episode, and now players will be able to download Episode 2 (of 3).

Milkbag Games Releasing FutureGrind On PlayStation 4 and Switch This Month

We’ve known about FutureGrind for a while. We first wrote about it back in 2015, and now this month we’ll get the chance to play it. Milkbag Games have announced their futuristic stunt-bike game will be coming to Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 on January 22nd.

FutureGrind features dozens of tracks spread across different environments. From the sunny beaches of Miramar to the snow-covered peaks of Ralhorn, and everywhere in between, you’ll have plenty to do. Earn different bikes as you progress through the game, each with their own unique style of play. One thing remains constant throughout the game: FutureGrind is a challenging stunt-sport that’s all about tricks, skill, and speed.

Thankfully as well, it’s been confirmed to have a platinum trophy on PlayStation 4. Thank you Milkbag Games.

Battle Princess Madelyn Out Now On PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch

Casual Bit Games over in Nova Scotia released their latest game Battle Princess Madelyn just before the new year (in NA), with it coming to European regions on January 7th. The game combines elements from Ghouls N' Ghosts and Wonder Boy 3: The Dragon's Trap, as you follow the journey of a young knight Madelyn, and her ghostly pet dog Fritzy.

Join Madelyn as she battles through graveyards, swamps, castles, the countryside and more! Polished gameplay, breath taking visuals, jaw-dropping dual soundtracks and epic adventures await!

Doug Flutie Joins Maximum Football Starting in 2019

We missed this one from last year, but Peterborough-based developer Canuck Play have teamed up with former CFL/NFL Quarterback Doug Flutie to be a spokesperson for their Maximum Football franchise, which starting this year will now be “Doug Flutie’s Maximum Football”.

"We’re extremely excited to have Doug on board,” said David Winter, President of Canuck Play. “His accomplishments at all levels and styles of football are well known, and he is the obvious natural fit for our title.”

You can check out the press release below, we’ll have to wait until Fall of this year for the next version of Maximum Football, but 2018’s edition is out now on Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. Oh also, Hail Flutie.

Doug Flutie’s Maximum Football set for release in Fall 2019

Canuck Play & Spear Interactive welcomes Hall of Fame Quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner Doug Flutie as partner and brand ambassador to the Maximum Football video game franchise.

Flutie has agreed to a multi-year relationship with Maximum Football and will lend his name and likeness to the franchise beginning in Fall 2019 with the anticipated release of Doug Flutie’s Maximum Football. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“We’re extremely excited to have Doug on board,” said David Winter, President of Canuck Play. “His accomplishments at all levels and styles of football are well known, and he is the obvious natural fit for our title.”

Doug Flutie is an American football quarterback who won the Heisman Trophy in 1984 as the best player in college football and who had a 21-year professional football career in the United States and Canada. Maximum Football is the only video game on the market that allows gamers to play with U.S. College, Canadian, and U.S. professional styles of play. 

“I’m basically a kid at heart, who lives for playing sports in person or on the screen. This partnership gives me the chance to join the video game space and I’m looking forward to helping grow the Maximum Football brand,” said Flutie. “What drew me to Maximum Football was the innovative concept of including three different styles of football in the game.”

Doug Flutie’s Maximum Football will feature Doug as a playable character and include multiple new gameplay features.

The Maximum Football franchise was re-launched in 2017 by Canuck Play.
