Ubisoft Announces New North American League for Rainbow Six Esports
Ubisoft has announced that a new North American League (@R6esportsNA) League for Rainbow Six Siege (@R6esports) is rolling out this year featuring a Canadian division for the first time in Rainbow Six Siege eSports history.
North American League for Rainbow Six® Esports, which is scheduled to debut in late June 2020. For the first time in Rainbow Six Esports history, Canada will be joining the global competition with its own division, consisting of four teams competing online and similar to the US Division tournament schedule.
The Rainbow Six North American League will include two regional Divisions in the United States and Canada, with the US Division featuring eight pro team organizations competing in an offline league based in Las Vegas Nevada.
In addition to the new Rainbow Six North American League, Ubisoft is also launching the Open Siege Series to promote a robust semi-pro ecosystem for all aspirational players which is designed to foster the best up-and-coming teams in both territories. This series will be an accessible online league and consist of eight teams per region, playing for a chance to break into the pro tier each season.
