The National Film Board of Canada’s Ontario Studio is currently looking to fill a variety of positions on an interactive Unity-based room-scale virtual reality project. All candidates must be available to work in-house at the NFB’s downtown Toronto studio.
Working under the guidance of the Artistic Director, the Rigging Artist will be responsible for character and asset rigging for a Unity-based room-scale VR project.
Rig characters and props to be animated and implemented into Unity;
Maintain a high level of quality and productivity while hitting deadlines and collaborating with team members on a daily basis.
A degree or diploma in 3D gaming or animation, or equivalent professional experience;
A minimum of 3 years of experience in 3D rigging for animation and/or video games created in Unity;
Excellent knowledge and use of 3D software as it relates to character rigging;
A strong understanding of and experience working in and implementing 3D assets in Unity;
Additional generalist skills including prop and environment modeling and character animation are preferred but not necessary.
