Cultist Themed Multiplayer Roguelike 'Worship' Crushes Kickstarter Goal
/Montreal-based developer Chasing Rat Games launched their Kickstarter for Worship last month, and holy moly they killed it. Over 6400 backers contributed just over $390000 dollars to the multiplayer rougelike game that according to Steam will be out when “when the old gods awaken” (though Kickstarter says 2022 for PC and Consoles).
Explore the world around your cult and find ways to please your god, convert the locals into followers and master the art of drawing with blood to use powerful rituals. As devotion grows towards your unholy divinity, you get stronger alongside the cult until you finally have the power to summon your god and cause the end of the world.
Chasing Rat Games calls Worship “a fresh take on the roguelike genre inspired by Pikmim” where you’ll be converting the godless into your followers as you use them to explore, solve puzzles, and battle in the name of their God. You can wishlist the game on Steam below.
The new studio founded by ex-BioWare devs Humanoid Origin is looking to fill multiple roles.
