Real Time Card Battler 'Haste' Kickstarter Launched

Ottawa-based Hot Sauce Bread Studios (@HotSauceBread) have launched a Kickstarter campaign for their debut project Haste, a turn-based, collectable card game featuring “strategic yet action-oriented card combat played in real-time.”

Haste’s Kickstarter campaign will only be funded if it reaches its goal by Thursday, June 17 by 8:40 AM Eastern time.

Haste will feature:

  • Online matchmaking with ranked PvP and single-player matches vs AI;

  • Simple inputs paired with quick decision-making for engaging game play;

  • A robust variety of character skins, player icons and card backs to collect;

  • Inventive mechanics for genre-bending gameplay.

Haste will have 9 heroes from which players can assemble their team of 3, with each hero having a deck of 5 cards creating loads of possible matchups and battles.

Hot Sauce Bread Studios consists of Jacob Deorksen and Cedrick Lui (@cedricklui), two lifelong friends with a shared passion for video games living in Ottawa, Ontario.
