Nathan Vella, Co-Founder of Capybara Games, Leaves Studio
After 16 years of making indies with Capybara Games (@CAPYGAMES), Vella is leaving Toronto and the studio he started for a new opportunity.
Making the announcement via Twitter, Vella confirmed that he was leaving the company on September 26th, 2019, and said further that he’s prepping his family for a big move elsewhere for his next opportunity in the games industry.
Vella helped bring Capybara Games to critical and financial success with indie games like Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP (2011), Super Time Force (2014) and BELOW just last year.
The last project he wrapped for Capy was Grindstone, a gorgeous matching game on Apple Arcade that’s had me hooked for weeks.
There’s no word yet on Vella’s next project, but he wished nothing but the best for his colleagues at Capy and the community of indie developers in Toronto.
