Sea Of Stars Now Most Successful Canadian Video Game Kickstarter Ever

Québec City-based indie studio Sabotage (@SabotageQc) have officially achieved the most successful Canadian video game Kickstarter campaign ever with Sea Of Stars.

Sea Of Stars, whose Kickstarter campaign kicked off March 19, has reached $1,335,111.00 CAD pledged of their initial $133,000 CAD goal with less than two days to go.

Sabotage hit their last stretch goal on April 9 which is called Throes of The Watchmaker, a free DLC for all Kickstarter backers.

Amongst other announcements made during the campaign were the contribution of Yasunori Mitsuda (Chrono Trigger) as guest composer, and the addition of an early backer physical edition of the game to be released in partnership with Limited Run Games.

Telling the story of two Children of the Solstice, Sea of Stars focuses on engaging combat and
unrestrained exploration, featuring freedom of movement seldom seen in the genre. Sea of
Stars’ compelling world unites players with Valere and Zale, youths fated to become Solstice
Warriors. Combining their Sun and Moon powers to perform Eclipse Magic, they are pledged to
fight the monstrous creations of the evil alchemist known as The Fleshmancer.
