Celeste Devs Show New Trailer for Next Game Earthblade

Vancouver-based Extremely OK Games (@exok_games) debuted a new trailer for their upcoming 2D “explor-action” game Earthblade (@earthblade_game) at The Game Awards this past Thursday.

Slated for a 2024 release, the trailer shows off the seamlessness of their world as there’s no cut past the initial graphic, and the player character moves from area to area without any fade to black or transition.

Announced in April 2021, few details are known about Earthblade. However, the development team has grown since Celeste- adding fellow Vancouver dev Chevy Ray, creator of 2021’s delightful turn-based RPG Ikenfell.
