Darkest Dungeon: The Butcher's Circus DLC Brings PVP to the Gothic RPG Next Month

Darkest Dungeon©: The Butcher's Circus is a new DLC from Vancouver-based indie Red Hook Studios (@RedHookStudios) coming to Darkest Dungeon (@DarkestDungeon) that will pit player’s bands against each other in an arena, player-versus-player battle.

Coming to Steam in May (next month), you can wishlist the DLC right now to get notified as soon as it’s in the wild.

The circus has come to the beleaguered hamlet from the main game, and with it comes the Butcher who demands a grisly show. This DLC will feature a musical theme by Stuart Chatwood, (Prince of Persia, Darkest Dungeon) as well as narrator quips by the esteemed Wayne June (Liberty: Vigilance, Darkest Dungeon) and all-new gripping sound FX by Power Up Audio (Cadence of Hyrule, Night in the Woods).

The DLC will feature a new hamlet location: The Butcher's Circus, where players will be able to engage in no-holds-barred PvP combat with teams of 4 heroes (without risking heroes from the Campaign).

Players can climb the ranks to show off their command of heroes and ability to weather misfortune and violence. You’ll also be able to unlock banner components and use creativity to assemble your own duelist heraldry.

There will be new gladiatorial trinkets giving players the ability to strategize and turn the tides mid-match.
