New Tales from the Borderlands Announced, Gearbox Studio Québec Leading Development

The hilariously named New Tales from the Borderlands was announced at Canadian Geoff’s Gamescom Opening Night Live- with Gearbox Studio Québec (@gearboxquebec) leading the game’s development.

Having assisted Gearbox’s other studios with various projects like Borderlands 3 and Tiny Tina’s Wonderland since their formation in 2015, this marks a big step for the studio.

The game will also be available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X and Epic Games Store.

This game is a sequel to the originally developed by California-based (mismanaged into bankruptcy and now reborn under a new LLC) Telltale Game’s Tales from the Borderlands which 2K (Gearbox’s parent company at the time- now Embracer Group) acquired the rights to in February 2021.

This game was originally teased in April 2022 at PAX and via Twitter.
