Red Barrels Teases New Outlast Game

Montréal-based indie studio Red Barrels (@TheRedBarrels) has teased a new Outlast announcement coming soon via their official Twitter account.

The announcement is most likely the next Outlast game, as Red Barrels confirmed in an interview with IGN back in 2017 that their next project after bringing Outlast 2 to Switch is “a distinct experience set in the Outlast universe.” Whether or not it’s going to be called Outlast 3 or something else remains to be seen.

Red Barrels is sponsoring MIGS next month which features a public convention component in the form of MEGA, a two-day show where people can come play upcoming games. This might be the venue where they make the announcement and maybe feature demos for the new project. We’ll have to see 👀
