The Messenger's DLC 'Picnic Panic' Out Now And Free On All Platforms

Quebec developer Sabotage have released their free DLC titled ‘Picnic Panic’ for The Messenger on all platforms. The Messenger is a throw back platformer that came out in August of last year to critical acclaim.

As a demon army besieges his village, a young ninja ventures through a cursed world, to deliver a scroll paramount to his clan’s survival. Leveraging player expectations as a core design ingredient, The Messenger is first presented as an 8-bit action platformer with a simple story only to turn into an epic time travelling tale, eventually revealing itself as a 16-bit Metroidvania packed with replay value and deadpan humor.

Picnic Panic is a free add-on that sees the characters from The Messenger go on a trip to Voodkin Island. “Explore three refreshingly new levels - each culminating in unique and inventive boss fights.”
