Kickstarter Launched for Co-op Puzzler Zorya
/Newly-minted, Montréal-based indie studio MadLife Divertissement has launched a Kickstarter for their first game Zorya (@ZoryaGame), a two-player cooperative puzzle game where you play with time and must survive by navigating in the shadows.
If successful, MadLife expects to release Zorya in the first quarter of 2021 for PC, with a stretch goal of a Nintendo Switch port.
MadLife is asking for $20,000 CAD to fund the development of the game which they’ve started with a team of 7 contractors over the past couple months. They have several stretch goals including cross-platform support at $80,000 CAD.
Description
Zorya is a cooperative puzzle game that takes place in a desolate world where the sun never sets. Players can choose to play as one of two sisters: Aysu, the night goddess who moves in the shadows, or Solveig, the all-powerful sun goddess who watches over the world. Help Aysu navigate the shadows safely and together to solve increasingly complex puzzles in order to restore Aysu's powers and thereby restore the balance of the world.

MadLife games authentic and original art direction with a touch of wonderful colors to set the mood for your game sessions.
Cooperation and communication is key to solving puzzles in Zorya, as it features a two-player asymmetric gameplay at its core.
Experience a Godly perspective as Solveig with the power to shift the time of the day by moving the sun across the sky along with the shadows on the ground.
Navigate the shadows as Aysu and interact with the world and its inhabitants with the cold wind of the night.
Burn with your powerful ray those who refuse to praise the Sun and those who attempt to harm your sister.
Enjoy restful gameplay together, where you take the time to think and explore how to solve each puzzle.
Explore and immerse yourself in the magical world of Vyraj, with its beautiful and whimsical scenery, along with a deep and soothing atmospheric music.
Discover the rich history of the world and it’s previous inhabitants, that is, if the player is attentive enough to find the ancient lore hidden and scattered throughout the levels.
The players can play Zorya on separate computers, or play the game side by side with the split screen option enabled.
A level editor on Steam Workshop would be lovely; so everyone can try their hand at creating complex puzzles, publish them and share them with the community.
