Darkest Dungeon 2 Exits Early Access, Launches on Steam in May

Vancouver-based indie developer Red Hook Studios (@RedHookStudios) has announced that Darkest Dungeon II, the sequel to their crushing 2016 roguelite, will leave early access on the Epic Games Store and launch on Steam on May 8, 2023.

Launched into early access on October 26, 2021, exclusively for the Epic Games Store, Darkest Dungeon II becomes more a true roguelike than its predecessor through a new caravan system where the player is travelling with their party towards an ominous, Lovecraftian mountain instead of diving deeper into a dungeon. Death resets the player with a new caravan at the bottom of the mountain.
