Rumour: Bioware Looking To Relaunch Anthem

According to Kotaku, Bioware is looking to relaunch their struggling looter-shooter Anthem at some point in the future. Details are still thin (and EA themselves declined to respond to Kotaku), but it looks like the game will see an overhaul in the games mission structure and loot system.

‘“We spent a few months just tearing it down and figuring out what needed to change fundamentally (a lot),” said one person on the project. “And we’ve been rebuilding for another few months since.”’

Anthem came out back in February, and is technically the 8th best selling games this year. However the game has left a bad taste in gamers mouths, and doesn’t appear to have the momentum or player base enjoyed by similar games like Destiny 2. Anthem is out now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC and is part of EA Access on all systems.
