The Long Dark Chapter 3 Hits All Platforms in October

The next chapter of Wintermute, The Long Dark’s story mode, releases October 22, 2019, developer Hinterland Games (@HinterlandGames) has announced.

This new story, entitled Chapter 3: Crossroads Elegy will present the events from Astrid’s point of view, the other main character who crashes in your plane with you at the start of the game.

In a blog post on Hinterland’s site, Game Director Raphael van Lierop (@RaphLife) state, “I don’t expect all of you to like it. But it’s a story that is true to the world of The Long Dark, true to Astrid, and I believe, also true to the world we live in today.”

The blog post also announced a new feature entitled TIMECAPSULE, where players will be able to access all 15 major Steam builds of The Long Dark to see how the game has progressed over the past 5 years since it’s release in Early Access in 2014.
