Last night there was the 6th annual Level Up here in Toronto, which is a showcase event for local students to show off their games. Pitfall Planet won last years, and this year had quite a few winners, including friend of the site Oddbird Studio. This all came from Level Up's Facebook page.

Quebec developer Sabotage have released their free DLC titled ‘Picnic Panic’ for The Messenger on all platforms.
We discussed Darwin Project on our latest Podcast - a battle royale game from Montreal developer Scavengers Studios. The twist of which is that, similar to Hunger Games, there is a Dungeon-Master type character that can control various parts of the match.
Another new game from a Canadian developer was released today, though for some it’s just an update. Lost Orbit: Terminal Velocity is out now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Steam and Switch. Lost Orbit originally came to Steam and PlayStation 4 back in 2015, and PixelNAUTS Games have added a slew of updates to the game, including new levels - which are available for previous Playstation 4 owners.
It’s been a few years since Axon Interactive Quench was successfully funded on Kickstarter, and now we have a release month as well as upcoming system releases. The storydriven puzzle game will launch next month on Steam, Nintendo Switch, and itch.io. The Switch version will also contain HD rumble, and touch controls.
