Google Opens Stadia Game Development Studio in Montréal

Head of Stadia Games & Entertainment Jade Raymond has announced the new studio that will develop Stadia exclusive content opening in Montréal.

Making the announcement in a blog post on Google, Raymond says she’s excited to open a studio in the place she grew up, and a city famous for launching so many game developers.

“Stadia Games and Entertainment’s studio will produce exclusive, original content across a diverse portfolio of games in all your favorite genres,” states Raymond. “Stadia is designed to be one destination for all the ways people play games—and Montréal is where we’re going to start building them.”

Google is currently hiring a variety of positions at the new studio (including artists, programmers and designers) and you can view them all on Google’s jobs page.

The Google Stadia Founder’s Edition launches next month on November 19, and you can check out a comprehensive list of the launch games on Google’s site.
