Announcing registration for Canadian university and collage gamers to compete in world’s biggest VALORANT competition

Red Bull Campus Clutch invites students from more than 50 countries to represent their country, leading to a world final later in the year.

Canadian qualifiers will take place on March 27th, April 10th and April 24th. Registration is now open at RedBull.ca/CampusClutch

Toronto, February 12, 2021: The call for entries for Red Bull Campus Clutch, the biggest global VALORANT post-secondary tournament is officially open with 3 qualifiers, open to all Canadian students, taking place on March 27th, April 10th, and April 24th. The competition challenges student gamers of all levels across the nation to team up and compete on the world stage to create history for their university, their province, and their country. To enter this exciting global event, students must rally their team of five and register to compete across three phases: Qualifiers, National Finals and World Finals.

Providing a level playing field, Red Bull Campus Clutch is open to all students over 18 who are enrolled in universities & collages across the nation. Teams of five can sign up to compete in Qualifiers 1, 2, and 3, which are now open at RedBull.ca/CampusClutch

Successful teams will advance to the National Finals, where they’ll compete to determine the best student VALORANT team in the country. The winner will advance to the World Finals, where only the very best squads will have a shot at the ultimate glory.

At the World Final, teams will face off for €20,000, and an exclusive chance to see the biggest stars in VALORANT compete in the VALORANT Masters Series, an official stop on Riot Games’ VALORANT Champions Tour.

As one of the fastest growing, most talked about, and most watched games of 2020, VALORANT broke the single-day hours watched record in a single game category with 34 million hours, according to Twitch.

Red Bull Campus Clutch provides a starting point for any up-and-coming VALORANT teams to get recognized on the international circuit. Teams from more than 50 countries will have the opportunity to compete against players from all over the world, hone their skills, and learn what it takes to compete professionally.

As the esports industry continues to thrive, collegiate esports ensures the ecosystem remains sustainable and provides a much-needed path for new talent. Red Bull Campus Clutch is a new grassroots event that aims to take university esports to the next level by creating a global structure, inviting students to not only represent their campus, but their country, and pave the way for the next generation of esports pros.

The Canadian Red Bull Campus Clutch Qualifiers take place online, beginning March 27th.
