Halcyon 6: Starbase Commander Coming To Switch January 31st

Massive Damage have announced their retro-style space strategy RPG Halcyon 6 is heading to Nintendo Switch. Starting January 31st you’ll be able to download the game for $22.99. If you’re unfamiliar with Halcyon 6, it launched on Steam in 2016 and got an updated version in 2017. The gang at Massive Damage are also working on Star Renegades which is due out in 2019.

Makers Of Halcyon 6 Announces Next Game: Star Renegades

The makers behind Halcyon 6 have announced their next game. Massive Damage announced today Star Renegades, another tactical squad based rogue RPG, which you can add to your Steam wishlist here. The game will include an Intelligent Adversary system which will generate enemies and bosses as you play, while also unlocking hundreds of characters.

Fusing a reactive, tactical turn-based battle system that emphasizes interrupts and counters, with a procedurally generated and emergent mission-based campaign and an intelligent Adversary system with enemy officers that evolve and move up in the ranks, every playthrough is unique, challenging, and never the same.

According to the Steam page, Star Renegades is "coming soon."

Halcyon 6: Lightspeed Edition Coming August 10th

Massive Damage had teased some updates coming to Halcyon 6, and now we know that comes in the form of Halcyon 6: Lightspeed Edition. You can check out the details and a trailer for the new update below.

Local Toronto developer Massive Damage Inc releases Halcyon 6 to critical acclaim, and now it looks like they are working on a big update which we'll learn about soon. Check out the below Tweets, and pick up the game on Steam.

Halcyon 6: Starbase Commander Officially Out On Steam

It's been a long wild ride for Massive Damage with Halcyon 6. After it killed its Kickstarter, it released on Steam Early Access earlier this year. Today however the game is officially out, and can be picked up on Steam with a 15% discount. You can also check out the trailer below for the game:

Congrats to the whole team at Massive Damage! According to a blog post on their Steam page, they'll be working on bug squishing, and the Kickstarter Stretch Goals.

Halcyon 6: Starbase Commander Releases On Steam Early Access April 21st

It's a busy week for Toronto game developers this week, Massive Damage Inc has announced their space strategy RPG Halcyon 6: Starbase Commander will be hitting Steam Early Access later this month.  Halcyon 6 was a successful Kickstarter from last year that recently showed off some of the ground combat.  Check out the launch trailer below!

Halcyon 6 Shows Off Alpha Ground Combat Footage

Indie developer Massive Damage Inc has released some new footage of their upcoming game Halcyon 6 which features some ground combat. You can check it out below, but make sure to also follow the developer on Twitter and check out their Devblog where they are posting more details on the game.

Halcyon 6 was on Kickstarter last year where it crushed its fundraising goal. There is no release date yet for the game.

Toronto App Strategy Workshop Features Local Developers

We've already posted about the upcoming App Strategy Workshop, but wanted to dedicate a post to it.  The upcoming event will go over creating mobile apps and will be really useful for any students or people interested in making apps:

"Building a great app is difficult, but turning it into a profitable business can be even more of a challenge. Join industry experts, innovative startups, publishers, and developers to explore strategies to turn your app into a profitable business. Audience members will have the opportunity to tweet photos, questions, and feedback throughout the event. The event will feature some local Toronto developers including Andy Smith from XMG Studios, Ken Seto from Massive Damage Inc, Al Zebian from Play Puddle, Rob Segal from Get Set Games, and more.
