Ubisoft has announced the latest episode of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey DLC. Episode 2 of The Fate of Atlantis is now available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Judging from the synopsis, trailer and screenshots - players will be going to Hell:
Torment of Hades transports players to the Underworld, a vast world of endless gloom filled with wandering dead, ruled by the sharp and cunning Hades. As the story unfolds, players will come face-to-face with the ghosts of their past and continue their journey in mastering the Staff of Hermes. In order to escape the afterlife, players will have to help the dead find their rightful resting place and settle the debt that Hades demands.
This episode also brings new ability enhancements for your character - you can check out the trailer and press release below.
VENTURE INTO THE UNDERWORLD IN ASSASSIN’S CREED® ODYSSEY THE FATE OF ATLANTIS, EPISODE 2, NOW AVAILABLE
Montreal — June 4, 2019 —Today, Ubisoft announced that Torment of Hades, the second episode of the post-launch story arc of Assassin’s Creed® Odyssey The Fate of Atlantis, is now available on the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, the Xbox One family of devices including Xbox One X and Windows PC.
Each of the episodes of The Fate of Atlantis will introduce new ability enhancements related to the different branches of the skill tree – Hunter, Warrior and Assassin. In this second episode, players will discover three new ability enhancements, including:
Kronos Time Shift is part of the Warrior branch of the skill tree, and will launch players into the air while temporarily blinding surrounding enemies. While you are in the air, time stops for a moment, letting you use abilities from above or in a chain with Leap of Faith’s ground smash. When you shoot in the air, the damage will also automatically crit targets.
Ares Last Breath is also part of the Warrior branch of the skill tree. This healing ability will grant immunity to enemy attacks, restore 5% of damage dealt as Health and automatically parry enemy melee hits.
Artemis Trickery is part of the Hunter branch of the skill tree, and will transform players’ arrows into deadly traps that detonate and deal damage to enemies that come in close proximity. Any type of arrow can be used and will offer a different type of effect on detonation.
In order to play Torment of Hades, players will have two different options:
Following the main game, players will have to complete the questline Between Two Worlds, the mythological main game story arc, and the Lost Tales of Greece questline Heir of Memories that is available after completing the former questline. Finally, they must have reached character level 28 or above.
Players who do not fulfill all the above conditions will be able to use a shortcut created specifically for them. Thanks to this shortcut, players will enter Greece level 52 with preset abilities and resources, enabling them to start their adventure into the afterlife with Heir of Memories. They will also have the opportunity to choose their hero. However, contrary to the previous option, player progression using the shortcut will not carry over to the main game save, and they will not be able to obtain achievements.
The Assassin’s Creed Odyssey post-launch plan is the biggest and most ambitious in the franchise, and season pass owners will be able to access two major episodic storylines, Legacy of the First Blade and The Fate of Atlantis. Players can dive into new episodes as they premiere or experience the epic adventures in their entirety once all episodes are available. The season pass also includes Assassin’s Creed® III Remastered and Assassin’s Creed® III Liberation Remastered, which released for the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, the Xbox One family of devices including Xbox One X and Windows PC on March 29, 2019.
The Fate of Atlantis can be purchased as part of the Assassin’s Creed® Odyssey Season Pass for $49.99 or as part of The Fate of Atlantis story arc for $34.99 and will be downloadable for players who already own the Season Pass or Gold Edition starting today.

Guacamelee! 2 launched on PlayStation 4, and PC last August and now we got some DLC in store. Starting tomorrow you’ll be able to play as three of the games bosses El Muñeco, Uay Pek, or Jaguar Javier.
December 7th will be a bit more beefy with new challenge levels:
“This new DLC pack ($3.99) introduces a new challenge level, The Proving Grounds – a floating temple and home to the god Tiempochtli, where luchadores have gone since the beginning of time to sharpen their skills. Your five lucha trainers team up to guide you through a series of challenges, and each trainer is ready to award you with a character skin that lets you play the game as that trainer. Like the Enemigos, their costumes have unique gameplay attributes suited to the trainer’s specialty. Flame Face does higher and higher damage the greater your combo grows; Uay Coco’s magic lets him execute many special moves, but his body is extra-vulnerable to damage (and he makes for a pretty adorable ‘chicken’).”
Guacamelee! 2 will be hitting Switch next month as well, and if you’re curious what we thought of Guacamelee! 2 make sure to check out our spoilercast.
Toronto-based Drinkbox Studios (@DrinkboxStudios) has announced DLC for their action-RPG Nobody Saves the World entitled The Frozen Hearth.
One of our favourite studios DrinkBox Studios released their RPG Nobody Saves the World on Xbox and PC earlier this year, and that exclusivity didn’t last long as they have now announced the game is heading to Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation later this month.
Toronto-based DrinkBox Studios have announced a release date for their upcoming action RPG, Nobody Saves the World and we won’t have to wait very long. The game will release on Steam, and Xbox One/Series X/S on January 18th. It will also be part of Xbox Gamepass.
Toronto-based Drinkbox Studios have announced their next game Nobody Saves the World during the ID@Xbox event last week.
Guacamelee! 1 and 2 Toronto-based developer Drinkbox Studios has revealed we’ll know about their next secret project this Friday during ID Xbox Gaming Showcase. All we really know about this game is that they’ve been teasing it with eyes.
Montreal developer Compulsion Games will be releasing We Happy Few on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC later this month, and they've now gone over some of the post-launch content.
We Happy Few will get a free sandbox/infinite mode, as well as three different paid story as part of a season pass. They are:
Roger & James in: They Came From Below!
Precocious Roger and Impetuous James set off in search of adventure and love, only to uncover bizarre technology and a terrifying new threat. All is not as it seems. Or is it exactly as it seems?
Lightbearer
Heartthrob, artist, and personal trainwreck, Nick Lightbearer is Wellington Wells’ most celebrated rock star—but what truly makes him tick? Tune in to Uncle Jack’s late show to find out.
We All Fall Down
Much like any well-worn happy mask, all societies develop cracks in their veneer. But that doesn’t mean you should go digging up dirt from the past. Right? *pops a Joy pill* Right!
This may be the last Compulsion Games game to appear on PlayStation, as it was announced at E3 that Microsoft purchased the Montreal-based studio. We Happy Few will be out on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on August 10th.
We knew that Far Cry 5 was getting three pieces of DLC, and now we know the date of the first one - Hours of Darkness. The DLC will take players to Vietnam as they relive the experiences of Wendell Redler who was a character in the main campaign of Far Cry 5. The DLC will be out June 5th, and comes part of the Far Cry 5 season pass.
We also get a timeline of future DLC, including ones based on missions to Mars, and zombies. Full press release and trailer is below:
FAR CRY 5: HOURS OF DARKNESS LAUNCHES ON JUNE 5
Travel from Hope County to Vietnam in Far Cry’s First DLC Adventure
Montreal — May 24, 2018 — Today, Ubisoft announced Far Cry 5: Hours of Darkness, the first post-launch adventure, will release on June 5 across all platforms. The first DLC will transport players back in time as they play Hope County’s Wendell “Red” Redler, who must find and rescue his fellow squad members from hostile forces during the Vietnam War. Hours of Darkness can be purchased as part of the Far Cry 5 Season Pass for $39.99 and Gold Edition for $119.99.
Far Cry 5: Hours of Darkness transports players into a war-torn Vietnam as they relive the harrowing experience of Wendell Redler from the main campaign of Far Cry 5. Playable in solo or online co-op, Hours of Darkness transports players from rural Montana to a dangerous jungle where they must rescue imprisoned squad mates, wreak havoc on the Viet Cong and North Vietnamese Army, and fight to get back home by any means necessary. This first DLC adventure will feature new gear and abilities as well as two different playable modes that will be unlocked after completing Hours of Darkness: Survivor Mode, giving players a limited loadout for a more challenging playthrough, and Action Movie Mode, where a generous loadout delivers over-the-top action.
In addition to the DLC, all Far Cry 5 players will have access to new Vietnam-themed assets in Far Cry Arcade available on May 24 with the release of title update (TU) 6, the Vietnam Update Map Builders will be able to integrate these assets into their existing maps or create new maps focused on the Hours of Darkness theme. All future DLCs will also include thematic assets that will be added to Far Cry Arcade for free.
Alongside today’s title update, Ubisoft released the soundtrack for Far Cry 5: Hours of Darkness, available here: https://idol.lnk.to/FarCry5_Hours_of_Darkness. Composed by Wade MacNeil (Alexisonfire, Gallows, Black Lungs) and Andrew Gordon Macpherson. Driven by fear, confusion and violence, the music takes us on a journey into the madness of war. With the participation of renowned multi-instrumentalist Kim Uyen Le, Wade and Andrew have created a sound palette that blends traditional Vietnamese instruments with hypnotic, late 60’s psychedelic soundscapes, gritty vintage electronic textures, and pounding rhythmic patterns.
Far Cry 5 post-launch will continue with two new DLC adventures – Lost on Mars and Dead Living Zombies – which will be released in July and August of this year. Two additional asset drops will give map builders more tools to create unique Far Cry Arcade experiences. The DLC adventures are available in the Season Pass, or as standalone DLC purchases, while new asset releases for Far Cry Arcade will be available for free to all players.
Set in America, a first for the franchise, Far Cry 5 offers players total freedom to navigate a serene-looking yet deeply twisted world as the new junior deputy of fictional Hope County, Montana. Players will find that their arrival accelerates a years-long silent coup by a fanatical doomsday cult, the Project at Eden's Gate, igniting a violent takeover of the county. Under siege and cut off from the rest of the world, players will join forces with residents of Hope County and form the Resistance. Far Cry 5 will continue to receive premium DLC adventures available in the Season Pass as well as free content including new Far Cry Arcade assets and in-game live events following the launch.
