VBlank Entertainment, the Vancouver developer behind Retro City Rampage will be releasing their latest - Shakedown: Hawaii on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita and PC tomorrow on May 7th. The entire island is up for grabs... or at least, could be with the right business model.

Welcome to Shakedown: Hawaii, Vblank Entertainment's latest open world adventure. Build a "legitimate" corporation by completing open world missions, acquiring businesses, sabotaging competitors, "rezoning" land, and shaking down shops for protection money.

You are the CEO, and questionable subsidiaries, misleading ads, fine print, hidden service fees, and marketing spin are your tools of choice. Shakedown: Hawaii parodies big business, and the most absurd business practices that go alongside.

From the boardroom to the streets, build your corporate empire and destroy the competition.

Arrives May 7! Coming to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation®4, PS VITA, Nintendo 3DS and PC. Russian Subway Dogs Releases This Year And Features Guest Doggos

We've known about Russian Subway Dogs coming to PlayStation 4, and PlayStation Vita since late last year, but Spooky Squid Games did announce on the PlayStation Blog that it's coming this year - with some extra friends!

Welcome, comrades! Meet Russian Subway Dogs, a fast-paced action-arcade game inspired by the real-life stray dogs of the Moscow Metro. We have done extensive, totally legal research in order to fine tune this chaotic simulation for what it's like to scavenge for food from Russian commuters.

Lead Designer Miguel Sternberg talked about being able to play as different dogs, including some that are inspired by DrinkBox Studios, and Asteroid Base properties - but the full list is below:

  • Meme hero, Question Hound (aka “the This is Fine Dog”) from the comic Gunshow.
  • Revolutionary canines Nacho and Rad Shiba from the PS Vita game VA-11 HALL-A
  • Hybrid trash vermin, the Ratcoon, from action roguelike Ruin of the Reckless.
  • Our own demonic Clawed Kitty, inspired by our previous game, They Bleed Pixels.
  • The Proletaricat, your boss and head feline of the pack.
  • Uay Chivo from Guacamelee!
  • Doppler and Kepler from Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime
  • Fidel, dungeon delving doggo from the turn-based dungeon puzzler Fidel Dungeon Rescue
  • Nidhogg

Limited Run Games Releases Home On PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita [Updated]

Limited Run Games will be releasing Benjamin Rivers' horror adventure game Home physically on PlayStation 4, and PlayStation Vita.

Home was released digitally on PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita in 2014, and later ported on iOS and Steam.  You can buy the physical version on Vita here, and PlayStation 4 here.

"Awakened by an oncoming storm, you open your eyes to discover yourself in a strange, dark room—tucked away in a house that’s not yours.

As you play the game, it changes—subtly, almost imperceptibly—to reflect your perspective. It's a horror game unlike any other, and as you'll discover, its truths are entirely subjective."

Update: Originally the title was that the game came out on Xbox One - which should of read PlayStation Vita.

Russian Subway Dogs Announced For PS4 And Vita

The Vita lives! And obviously the PlayStation 4 is doing great, but the Vita lives. Spooky Squid Games is bringing Russian Subway Dogs to PlayStation 4, and Vita next year, alongside a release on Steam and itch.io.

Russian Subway Dogs is a score attack game, featuring stray dogs of the Moscow Metro. You can check out some screenshots and the trailer below - last we heard they tried to get funded on Kickstarter, but sadly didn't make it.

Russian Subway Dogs is simple enough for a puppy to pick up but still packed with challenge. Run and jump along the subway platform. Bark behind people to scare up food and bounce vodka around the stage. Soon you’ll be discovering high level strategies like cooking and eating rival wildlife with vodka explosions!

Russian Subway Dogs is a fast-paced action-arcade game inspired by the real-life stray dogs of the Moscow Metro. Coming to PS4, Vita, Steam and Itch.io in 2018! Find out more at: http://www.russiansubwaydogs.com

The game will be playable at next month's PlayStation Experience, just like Guacamelee 2, and Riverbond, and we should see it in 2018.
