King of the Hat Launches First On Discord

That wasn’t a typo. With Discord now offering a platform to sell games, a team in Montreal have decided to release their multiplayer game King of the Hat first on Discord. King of the Hat features 14 character, 5 environments, local and online multiplayer.

“King of the hat is a fast-paced, hat based, multiplayer game. In this cutesy dystopian world everyone is born with a hat that hosts their soul, and can only die if their hat gets crushed. Jump around, whip your hat at your friends, crush theirs, and become the King of the Hat!”

Everyone's soul is trapped in their hat and you can only die if your hat gets crushed. Throw your hat, risk your life. Crush your opponents hat before they crush yours in this fast-paced, hat-based, fighting game. Coming First on Discord later this fall.

Child of Light Out Now On Switch

Child of Light, the 2014 Ubisoft Montreal RPG was released on Switch last week. The game is the Ultimate Edition which comes with the seven add-on packs that includes a new quest, gems, skills and more. You can pick it up here.

Futuregrind Announced For Nintendo Switch

Milkbag Games announced the other day that their futuristic stunt-racer Futuregrind is coming to Nintendo Switch, alongside the PlayStation 4, and PC.

Nail the perfect line in the future's most challenging stunt sport! Grab your bike and hit the rails in this stylish stunt-racer all about tricks, skill, and speed. Use your futuristic motorcycle to do crazy combos on tracks made of floating rails, but be careful: If you touch the wrong rail you'll explode! Assassin's Creed Odyssey Out Now

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is out now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The Ubisoft Quebec produced game takes players to Ancient Greece, and Ubisoft has announced a lot of post-launch content.

Montreal — October 5, 2018 — Today, Ubisoft® announced that Assassin’s Creed® Odyssey is now available on the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, the Xbox One family of devices and Windows PC. In addition, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey has been enhanced with extra features for both PS4 Pro and Xbox One X platforms. The game is rated M for Mature and is available for a suggested retail price of $79.99.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is set in Ancient Greece during the Golden Age of Athens amidst one of the deadliest conflicts in history, the Peloponnesian War. Playing as either Alexios or Kassandra, an outcast Spartan mercenary, players will embark on an epic journey into a living, systemic open world, where they will uncover the truth about their mysterious pasts and become legendary Greek heroes.

Guacamelee Super Turbo Championship Edition Out On Switch Today - Guacamelee! 2 Out December

In a surprise announcement, and as a special Thanksgiving treat - Drinkbox Studios have announced Guacamelee Super Turbo Championship Edition is out now today on Switch.

Alongside the announcement, they confirmed that Guacamelee! 2 will be coming to Nintendo’s hybrid console this December with the help of Pop Agenda (who helped with the Switch port of number 1 as well). Guacamelee! 2 came out earlier this year on PlayStation 4, and PC. We discussed it on a spoilercast and loved it.

Russian Subway Dogs Gets Its First Major Update

Russia Subway Dogs came out a few months ago, and has now been updated with a new puppy to play, new difficulty, and Linux support.

Russian Subway Dogs, the systemic arcade game inspired by the real life stray dogs of the Moscow metro, is getting its first major content update and adding Linux support!

Featuring a new playable character and difficulty mode, the Panda-monium Update is out today (October 3rd 2018) and includes:

• Xiao Hong the Red Panda - A brand new playable ‘pupper’ as voted on by the players!

• Tourist Mode - a new Campaign difficulty mode for players who prefer an easier game with faster progress!

13AM Games' Double Cross Gets A New Trailer And Release Month

We won’t have much longer to get our hands on 13AM Games’ second game Double Cross as 13AM Games announced the game will hit Nintendo Switch, and PC in January. Additionally we got a new trailer which you can check out below!

Double Cross is an exciting action adventure game that has players using a special sling mechanic for a diversity of movements, fighting against an array of enemies and platforming their way across distinct universes in order to solve a multidimensional mystery. Players take on the role of Zahra, an agent of R.I.F.T.

Additionally 13AM Games posted some updates on Runbow for Switch and PS4 which came out earlier this year.

Last Year: The Nightmare Official Trailer

Montreal developed Last Year: The Nightmare gets its official trailer this week, showing off some of the monsters and gameplay from Elastic Games 5 vs 1 horror game.

Halloween night. 1996. A group of teenagers awake to find themselves trapped in a dark, twisted reflection of their sleepy hometown of Forest Hills. As they make their way across the East Side High School campus, they realize they are being hunted by a supernatural force taking the forms of fearsome killers. Relentlessly pursued, the teens must band together to fight back, survive, and escape the terrifying anomaly they have come to know as The Nightmare.

Towerfall Out Now On Switch

Towerfall, the multiplayer game from Montreal developer Matt Thorson has launched on Nintendo Switch. Originally released on Ouya in 2013, Towerfall has been ported to many systems since and enjoys a few extras in the Switch version. You can pick it up right here.
