Omensight: Definitive Edition Out Now On Switch

Spearhead Games over in Montreal have released Omensight: Definitive Edition on Switch. Omensight was released for PlayStation 4 and PC earlier this year, and now makes its way to Nintendo’s hybrid console.

Lightning Rod Games took to the Kinda Funny Showcase last weekend to show off a new trailer for their paper puzzle game based on long-distance relationships A Fold Apart.

A Fold Apart is a 3D puzzle game about the emotional struggle of a long distance relationship in a world of folding paper. 💙 Inspired by origami and papercraft, A Fold Apart's award-winning game mechanic allows players to fold and manipulate the paper world and navigate a long distance relationship.

Jamhammer Games Releases Shwip On Early Access

Jamhammer Games have released their twin-sticker shooter Shwip on Steam Early Access. Shwip is the only twin-stick shooter with a whip, and has a multiple weapons, and abilities for players to get the high scores in different modes. In Early Access for a couple of months, Shwip on Steam right now is around 90% complete - and can be purchased right here.

Cellar Door Games Releases Rogue Legacy and Full Metal Furies

Toronto based developer Cellar Door Games, best known for Rogue Legacy, and Full Metal Furies have brought their two games to Nintendo Switch. You can buy both games digitally, with Rogue Legacy going for 16.99, and Full Metal Furies on sale for $16.49 (regularly $21.99) CAD. Montreal — October 16, 2018 — Today, Ubisoft announced that For Honor® Marching Fire™ is now available worldwide today on PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, the Xbox One family of devices and Windows PC. Building upon more than a year and a half of continuous post-launch support and improvements since February 2017, Marching Fire relaunches the title for current and new players alike with the largest update so far, including all-new PvP and PvE modes, new features and a complete graphic overhaul. For the first time, Marching Fire also introduces an all-new faction, inspired by Chinese martial arts – the Wu Lin – with four new Heroes who will completely alter the combat experience on the battlefield.

The Marching Fire expansion, available now for players who already own For Honor, will grant instant and two-week early access to the four new Wu Lin Heroes: the Jiang Jun, a feared general using his guandao to wreak havoc; the Nuxia, a bodyguard using her hook swords to slay anyone who stands in her way; the Shaolin, a warrior monk spreading the gospel with his staff and the Tiandi, master of the Dao blade. All four Wu Lin Heroes will be available to be unlocked by all players using in-game Steel on October 30, with each Hero valued at 15,000 Steel.

Marching Fire expansion owners will also receive exclusive access to Arcade mode, a new quick-play PvE mode that offers new challenges through randomly generated situations. Arcade mode is the perfect place for players to explore new Heroes and improve their reputations before taking them into PvP, or players who want more solo content after completing the Story mode. Players who own the Marching Fire expansion will also be able to invite other For Honor players to join them for co-op in Arcade mode, even if that friend does not own the expansion.

Child of Light Out Now On Switch

Child of Light, the 2014 Ubisoft Montreal RPG was released on Switch last week. The game is the Ultimate Edition which comes with the seven add-on packs that includes a new quest, gems, skills and more. You can pick it up here.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey Out Now

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is out now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The Ubisoft Quebec produced game takes players to Ancient Greece, and Ubisoft has announced a lot of post-launch content.

In addition, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey has been enhanced with extra features for both PS4 Pro and Xbox One X platforms. The game is rated M for Mature and is available for a suggested retail price of $79.99.


Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is set in Ancient Greece during the Golden Age of Athens amidst one of the deadliest conflicts in history, the Peloponnesian War. Playing as either Alexios or Kassandra, an outcast Spartan mercenary, players will embark on an epic journey into a living, systemic open world, where they will uncover the truth about their mysterious pasts and become legendary Greek heroes.


Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is the next step in the transformation of the Assassin’s Creed franchise into an open world RPG where players’ choices and decisions allow them to live their own unique experience. Guacamelee Super Turbo Championship Edition Out On Switch Today - Guacamelee! 2 Out December

In a surprise announcement, and as a special Thanksgiving treat - Drinkbox Studios have announced Guacamelee Super Turbo Championship Edition is out now today on Switch.

Alongside the announcement, they confirmed that Guacamelee! 2 will be coming to Nintendo’s hybrid console this December with the help of Pop Agenda (who helped with the Switch port of number 1 as well). Guacamelee! 2 came out earlier this year on PlayStation 4, and PC. We discussed it on a spoilercast and loved it.

Towerfall Out Now On Switch

Towerfall, the multiplayer game from Montreal developer Matt Thorson has launched on Nintendo Switch. Originally released on Ouya in 2013, Towerfall has been ported to many systems since and enjoys a few extras in the Switch version. You can pick it up right here.

Alto's Adventure Out Now On Mac

Alto’s Adventure has been released on Mac, which you can pick up right here for $9.99 USD. Snowman’s founder Ryan Cash let me know via email that this was planned for a while:

“Ever since we launched the game on iOS we’d always wanted to do a Mac version, and we’d actually begun working on it a long time ago. We kind of got tied up with the tvOS version when that launched, and then of course, Alto’s Odyssey. When Apple announced the new Mac App Store at WWDC this year we knew it was time to dust off the code and bring it to the finish line.”

Ubisoft Monreal have released Transference for VR (PSVR, Oculus Rift, HTC Vive) and non-VR (PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC) this week. You can check out the details below for their psychological thriller:

UBISOFT ANNOUNCES TRANSFERENCE™, NOW AVAILABLE IN BOTH VR AND NON-VR


Montreal — September 18, 2018 — Today, Ubisoft announced the first-person exploration game Transference™ is now available at the suggested retail price of $33.49 in both VR and non-VR on PlayStation®VR, Oculus Rift and HTC Vive, as well as on PlayStation®4 system, the Xbox One family of devices including Xbox One, Xbox One S and Xbox One X and Windows PC. The game is rated “M” for Mature.


“Whether playing in VR or non-VR, players will find themselves in an escape room like situation inside the experiment of a troubled scientist. They’ll shift between the three perspectives of family members and attempt to find out the disturbing truth,” said Transference producer Kévin Racapé. “Transference is a visceral, engaging experience, and we can’t wait for players to enjoy unraveling the mystery in this mind-bending psychological thriller.”


While exploring and solving the mysteries of the house, players will cross paths with a family where each member has a story and a unique perspective on the events buried in their memories. 


There is a free downloadable demo, The Walter Test Case, available now on Playstation VR and PlayStation 4 system in both VR and non-VR that serves as a prequel to the full game.


Transference was developed by Ubisoft Montreal in collaboration with SpectreVision, the production company founded by Elijah Wood, Daniel Noah and John C. Waller.
