Unworthy Is The Latest Canadian-Based Game To Release On Switch

Aleks Kuzmanovic’s soulslike metroidvania released on on Steam in mid-2018, and it is now the latest of recent Canadian games ported to Switch. You can pick it on Switch right here, and check out the trailer and some screenshots below.

UNWORTHY is a hardcore combat-focused platformer without jumping. Play as a warrior, risen from the grave. Equipped with sword and shield, you must traverse a bleak and hostile world swarming with creatures of nightmare. Your patience, determination and skill will be put to the test, as you fight against epic bosses, uncover powerful weapons and abilities, and attempt to prove your worth.

Graceful Explosion Machine Demo Out Now On Switch

Still on the fence about Vertex Pop’s shoot em up? Well now there is a demo available on Switch you can try out. The game is also on sale for 30% making the decision even easier if you should pick it up (you should). You can head to the e-shop right now to download the demo and pick up the game.

And as a friendly reminder, Vertex Pop is still working away at Super Crush KO, which we should see on Switch and PC next year.

Child of Light Out Now On Switch

Child of Light, the 2014 Ubisoft Montreal RPG was released on Switch last week. The game is the Ultimate Edition which comes with the seven add-on packs that includes a new quest, gems, skills and more. You can pick it up here.

MONTREAL October 11, 2018 — Today, Ubisoft announced that Child of Light® is now available on the Nintendo Switch™ system for a MSRP of $26.99 with the Child of Light Ultimate Edition.

Inspired by childhood fairy tales, Child of Light is set in the magical world of Lemuria, a kingdom creatively hand-drawn and rendered with watercolor. Players embark on the coming-of-age journey of Aurora, a princess determined to save her lost kingdom and ailing father by recovering the sun, moon and stars that were stolen by the Dark Queen.

Child of Light is a classic RPG featuring turn-based combat with an active-time battle system, allowing players to fight alongside Igniculus and other members of Aurora’s party. Players will level up and gain skill points to unlock unique perks for the heroes. A deep crafting system allows players to combine gems to upgrade their swords, talismans and armor abilities as they solve puzzles and take on the minions of Lemuria’s Dark Queen. Towerfall Out Now On Switch

Towerfall, the multiplayer game from Montreal developer Matt Thorson has launched on Nintendo Switch. Originally released on Ouya in 2013, Towerfall has been ported to many systems since and enjoys a few extras in the Switch version. You can pick it up right here.

Puzzle Game Bloxiq Out Now On Switch

Bloxiq was first released on Vita in 2015, and then got a VR treatment, and has now hit the Nintendo Switch in a stealth release. The puzzle game from Blot Interactive has players moving around pieces of a 3D cube:

A Fold Apart Looking For Funding On Fig

Indie developer Lightning Rod Games have been working on A Fold Apart, their emotional 3D puzzle game about being in a long distance relationship.

To help bring the game of live they are looking into public funding via Fig. If you're unfamiliar with Fig it's similar to Kickstarter but also offering the chance to invest in the game. $20 dollars on the Fig page gets you access to a copy of the game when it releases.

You can check out the full trailer and some screenshots below which shows off the "folding" mechanic. The game will contain over 50 levels when its released.

Pirate Pop Plus Coming To Nintendo Switch May 31st

Dadako Studios developed, and 13AM Games published Pirate Pop Plus is hitting Switch this week. The puzzle game is also available on Steam, 3DS, and Wii U, and makes for a good time waster while we wait for Runbow on Switch, and their next game Double Cross.

N++ Announced For Nintendo Switch - Coming Later This Month

Metanet Software has announced the next console to get the ninja platformer N++. The game will be coming to Nintendo Switch May 24th.

Sky Rogue Coming To Nintendo Switch April 26th

Following Skies of Fury DX release, it looks like we have another flight game from Toronto - this time in the form of Sky Rogue from indie developer Kenny Backus.

"Sky Rogue is a fwooshy rogue-lite action flight simulator! Blow things up over land, sea, and air, on an infinite number of procedurally-generated islands.  Choose one of a diverse set of aeros and kit it out with a dizzying array of weaponry. Go toe-to-toe with enemy aces or assault giant flying aircraft carriers, but watch out for volleys of missiles; when you die, you're dead."

Sky Rogue was on early access on Steam, and then got the official 1.0 release late last year. It'll be out on Switch near the end of the month on April 26th.

Skies of Fury DX Out Now On Nintendo Switch

Incase you missed it, the first console game from Seed Interactive is out now on Nintendo Switch. You can pick up the game for $25.79 on the Canadian e-shop.
