In the world’s biggest video game studio, a constantly growing team works on the creation of For Honor, a game that stages an epic war between Vikings, knights and samurai. Like the game’s characters, the main creators will face adversity that will highly impact their personal lives, up to the breaking point. _________ Playing Hard offers unprecedented access to a highly secret world where a few gamers/designers are shaping what has now become the biggest entertainment industry in the world. It follows the creation of the game For Honor over a four-year period. As the production team grows from 20 to 500 people, we witness the human theatre involved in creating and launching a major video game. From Montreal to Los Angeles, through Cologne, Moscow, Seattle, and Asia, we follow Creative Director Jason VandenBerghe, Producer Stéphane Cardin, and Brand Manager Luc Duchaine as they struggle to bring an idea to life. Beyond the commercial success of the game, their dreams, fears, and relationships are at stake.

Montreal  March 27, 2018 — Today, Ubisoft announced that Far Cry® 5, the latest installment of the award-winning Far Cry franchise, is now available for a suggested retail price of $79.99 on the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, the Xbox One family of devices including the Xbox One X and Windows PC. In addition, Far Cry 5 has been enhanced with additional features for PS4™Pro systems. Far Cry 5 is rated M for Mature.

Set in America, a first for the franchise, Far Cry 5 offers players total freedom to navigate a serene-looking yet deeply twisted world as the new junior deputy of fictional Hope County, Montana. Players will find that their arrival accelerates a years-long silent coup by a fanatical doomsday cult, the Project at Eden's Gate, igniting a violent takeover of the county. Under siege and cut off from the rest of the world, players will join forces with residents of Hope County and form the Resistance.

Far Cry 5, developed by Ubisoft Montreal in collaboration with other studios,* is a first-person shooter set in a completely open world. Players will have the freedom of choice, wrapped in an immersive story with memorable characters, where they can experience Far Cry Moments: unpredictable and unforgettable moments in the game – like getting attacked by a bear while quietly fishing or being rescued by Boomer at just the right time. Players can play any way they want, including recruiting Guns for Hire, Fangs for Hire and a Friend for Hire, which allows players to play the entire game in co-op, a franchise first.

Far Cry 5 also includes Far Cry® Arcade, the biggest and most versatile map editor mode for the Far Cry series. In Far Cry Arcade, players can create new scenarios by utilizing assets from other titles in the series, as well as other Ubisoft franchises, including Assassin’s Creed® IV Black Flag®, Assassin’s Creed® Unity or Watch_Dogs®, for solo, co-op or competitive experiences.

Players can also purchase the Gold Edition of Far Cry 5, which includes the base game, season pass and bonus content, for $129.99 or digitally for $119.99. The Far Cry 5 season pass transports players to uncanny adventures across three unique settings with the upcoming DLCs – Hours of Darkness, Dead Living Zombies and Lost on Mars – and more. On top of that, players who purchase the season pass for PS4 and Xbox One get Far Cry® 3 Classic Edition at no additional cost, while PC players get the full version of Far Cry® 3 at no extra cost on May 29. Futuristic Racer Grip Announced For Consoles

Happy GDC! Caged Element has announced their futuristic racer Grip will be making the jump from Steam (which has been out since the summer) to Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Switch. They've patterned with Wired Productions to work on the port.

Grip's Game Director Chris Mallinson took to the PlayStation Blog to talk about Caged Element, and even threw in a bit about what sounds like free post-launch DLC:

Caged Element was formed and we started work on Grip – a combat racer for the new generation. We’ve had a wealth of talent join us over the years – all of them being fans of our inspiration, and most of them having previous racing game experience. The latter comes in handy for sure, but when the cars in your game can drive on any surface and on either side, the challenge of creating interesting and balanced tracks is amplified. Thankfully, we’re confident that when the game launches, players will appreciate the wealth of track designs we’ve come up with. And there’s more to come after launch – all of them being free.

GRIP is a high octane, hardcore combat racer, packing ferocious speed and armed to the teeth with heavy weapons. www.gripvideogame.com | www.facebook.com/gripvideogame | www.twitter.com/gripvideogame Evolved from the age of street racing, the world of GRIP is brutal and cut-throat to the core.

We don't have a release date yet, but if you have no patience you can check the game out on Steam Early Access.

WAY OF THE PASSIVE FIST, SET TO LAUNCH MARCH 6 FOR PS4, XBOX ONE AND PC

Household Games’ Debut Title, Way of the Passive Fist, is a

Love Letter to the Great Licensed Cartoon Arcade Brawlers of the 90s

Toronto, CANADA – February 20, 2018 – Way of the Passive Fist, the debut title from Household Games, is slated to release on March 6, 2018 on the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system via the PlayStation®Store, Xbox One on the Xbox Games Store as part of the ID@Xbox program (available March 7), and Windows PC/Mac/Linux via Steam for $14.99 USD (€11.99). Fans on Steam can wishlist the title now: http://store.steampowered.com/app/625680/Way_of_the_Passive_Fist/

In Way of the Passive Fist, a side-scrolling action arcade brawler, players take on the role of the mysterious Wanderer and master a rare defensive fighting style to outsmart and outlast their enemies. While utilizing parries, deflections, dashes, and dodges, the Wanderer’s foes exhaust themselves to the point that they can then be defeated and knocked out by a single finger “punch” or push.

During the development of Way of the Passive Fist - a love letter to the great licensed cartoon arcade brawlers of the 90s - the team applied a forward-thinking approach to accessibility, to shake up the traditional brawler game mechanics and give players a fresh take on the brawler genre. Players will be able to fully remap the control scheme to play one-handed, modify the game settings if they’re visually impaired or sensitive to sudden flashing lights, as well as customize gameplay difficulty settings to fit their play-style.

“We’re extremely excited to ‘unlock an indie studio achievement’ and to launch our first title, Way of the Passive Fist! It’s been such an awesome adventure and humbling experience for our small, yet ambitious, team,” says Jason Canam, Founder of Household Games. “We hope that players, especially fans of classic 90s arcade brawlers or fighting games, are quick to notice two distinctive characteristics in Way of the Passive Fist  - this isn’t your typical action arcade brawler since button mashing won’t get you far and it’s all about timing defensive moves, as well as the unique accessibility features .”
