Runbow Out Now On PS4 and Switch

Runbow is out now on Playstation 4 and Nintendo Switch (and Wii U, and Steam, and 3DS, and Xbox One) for $14.99 USD. It serves as a nice little appetite while we wait for Double Cross (due this year).

Runbow Coming To Switch And PS4 Next Month

We've known about Runbow coming to Switch and PS4 for a while now, and after small delay we now have a release date. You'll be able to play the party platformer on PlayStation 4, and Switch early next month on July 3rd.

This should tie gamers over nicely while we wait for Double Cross which is expected to hit Switch later this year.

Runbow Delayed For Switch And PS4

According to 13AM Games, the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch port for Runbow has been delayed. According to the PR Statement, as posted by Nintendo Life, the delay is to "further optimize the game’s performance."

This may be the last port for Runbow, as it's already launched on Wii U in 2015, then ported to Steam, 3DS, and Xbox One last year. 13AM Games also announced their next game, Double Cross, coming later this year.

March Recap - Interviews, Far Cry 5, Way of the Passive Fist, and More

Going to start recapping each month, so here we go! It was a busy month.

Until next month! Friendly reminder we just started a Discord server, so come join the fun.

Runbow Coming To Switch and PlayStation 4 In April

We've known about the Switch and PS4 port for a while, but now it's official. 13AM Games' party platformer Runbow will be hitting Switch and PlayStation 4 digitally next month on April 24th.

A physical digital deluxe edition will follow on June 14th for both consoles. If that wasn't enough, 13AM Games will also be working with Dadako Studios to release Pirate Pop Plus on Switch as well.

Runbow Coming To Nintendo Switch Next Year

No one is safe from Runbow. 13AM Games announced today via Twitter that "by popular demand" Runbow will be coming to Nintendo Switch in 2018.

13AM Games recently announced a PlayStation 4 port, but the game is available on Wii U, Steam, 3DS, and Xbox One.

Runbow Releasing On PlayStation 4 This Year

It was released on Wii U, then some DLC, then Steam, then 3DS, and then Xbox One and now PlayStation owners will get a chance to play some Runbow.

13AM Games announced their party platformer, Runbow, will release sometime this year. Here is a trailer!

Runbow, and all its multiplayer madness, is finally coming to PlayStation 4! With tons of competitive modes for up to nine players online and four players locally and a massive Single Player Adventure, Runbow is the crazy, colour-based platformer you've been waiting for.

Runbow Releasing On Xbox One - Part Of Games With Gold In July

In a pretty surprising announcement, 13AM Games' Runbow will be making the jump to Xbox One next month. It will also be part of the Games with Gold, so Xbox Live members will get it for free from July 16th - August 15th.

Play together with Xbox Live Gold. July's 2017 Games with Gold lineup for Xbox One includes: GROW UP and Runbow. For Xbox 360 owners (and through Xbox One backward compatibility), July kicks off with Kane & Lynch 2, followed by LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean.

Runbow Pocket Release Date Announced - Also Working On New IP For Switch

It's been a while since we've heard about Runbow Pocket, but 13AM Games always let me know it's coming. Now we know what day it will be available.

In a post on Nintendo LifeAlex Rushdy, CEO and Creative Director at 13AM Games, announced that Runbow Pocket will come to June 20th in North America, and Europe for the new Nintendo 3DS, and new Nintendo 2DS. Alex even went into some of the trouble they had in porting their multiplayer Wii U game:

As part of our company culture, we don’t like keeping our fans in the dark as to why a game has been delayed or changed in some way since reveal, so I’d like to answer some of the questions that you guys might have about the game. It was a very difficult process to squeeze a large Wii U game into the New 3DS, especially when the engine it is built in is not our own. Being a pilot project for Unity New 3DS meant we had to face a cavalcade of technical difficulties, creating a new networking system, creating an e-commerce plug-in, figuring out how to maximize performance with significantly smaller CPU, GPU and memory compared to Wii U, and reorganizing all the UI and UX to work on the lower resolution dual screens.

Runbow Pocket has had a long road to New 3DS, but now it has a release date. Check out all of the details in our exclusive reveal - http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2017/05/exclusive_runbow_pocket_gets_new_3ds_release_date_as_13am_games_teases_new_switch_project Check out our full site ■ http://www.nintendolife.com Like us on Facebook ■ https://www.facebook.com/nintendolife Follow us on Twitter ■ https://www.twitter.com/nintendolife

Alex also mentioned some contests they are running on their Twitter, so check out the full Nintendo Life article for more.

We also get a tease at 13AM Games next project, which will be a single player action game on Switch that is also "weird", and distinctly "13AM". With E3 a few weeks ago, maybe we'll find out more, but for now we'll have to sit tight and wait.

Will you be picking up Runbow Pocket in June?

Yuuuuge Runbow Sale Going On Right Now

Our friends over at 13AM Games have announced a huge sale for Runbow. You can pick up the 9 player party platformer on Wii U, Steam, and Humble Bundle for 50% off.

We don't know what's next for 13AM Games, but the sale goes until April 5th. If you're looking to Switch* up your wardrobe a little, you can see similar savings on their official store.

*That's me being funny.

TorontoGameDevs.com 2nd Annual Game Of The Year Voting - Results!!

Well, it was a solid 2016, and there were a lot of great games that were created in Toronto and Southern Ontario. Just like last year, supporters and fans of local content took part in the 2nd Annual Game of the Year voting, and here are the results!

10) Maize - Finish Line Games

9) Kapsul Infinite - Luke O'Connor

8) Far Cry Primal - Ubisoft Toronto

7) Alone With You -  Benjamin Rivers

6) Watch Dogs 2 - Ubisoft Toronto

5) Halcyon 6: Starbase Commander - Massive Damage Inc

Halcyon 6: Starbase Commander had a huge Kickstarter. After a successful funding thank to Square Enix Collective, the game came out in Early Access, followed by a full release later in the year. The developers are still updating the game, so make sure you head over to Steam to pick it up.

Halcyon6

4) Runbow: Satura's Space Adventure - 13AM Games

Back-to-back Years of placing 4th in voting, 13AM Games released a healthy chunk of DLC for its party platformer. Satura's Space Adventure gives players more single, and multiplayer content - while also releasing the game on Steam, and 3DS.

Runbow

3) Severed - DrinkBox Studios

The first-person hack-n-slash found eventual homes on 3DS, iOS, and Wii U, but it was made from the ground up for the little Sony portable that could. Probably one of the last "exclusive" Vita games, Severed has you playing as a daughter trying to find out what happened to her family. Now I'll be praying for a Guacamelee 2.

Severed

2) Hard Vacuum Lullaby - One More Story Games

Friends of the site, One More Story Games claims our top two spots in this years Game of the Year voting, first with Hard Vacuum Lullaby. "After a savage battle in deep space, the 2nd Yagoshan Expeditionary Fleet Battlecruiser #6 retreats to the orbit of a gas giant with other damaged vessels to undergo repairs by the fleets logistics and repair corvettes."

Thanks to everyone for voting, and congratulations to everyone who released a game in 2016. Onwards to 2017!

Runbow Coming to Steam This Month
