Mirage: Arcane Warfare Close Alpha Announced - New Gameplay Trailer - Delayed Until 2017

Torn Banner Studios have been busy working away on Mirage: Arcane Warfare. They've posted a of content, and developer blogs for the game since its announcement, and have now announced a Closed Alpha will be happening shortly:

And now we’ve got some news for you: the Mirage Alpha is coming this September! The Mirage Closed Alpha will be subject to the requirements of a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA).
If you previously signed up for the “Beta” of Mirage on our website, you’ll be first in line for invitation into the free Alpha (which, for all intents and purposes, will have the same content as what was going to be tested in the original “Beta” signup).

Torn Banner Studios also created a 12 minute gameplay trailer for PAX West, while also delaying the game until early 2017.

We have also decided to move the release date of Mirage to Q1 2017 – a few months later than originally planned. The full release of Mirage will be preceded by a brief Beta testing period

If you want to sign up for the Alpha, make sure to visit the Torn Banners website. Until then, let's all follow the game and studio on Twitter.

Clapfoot Games Now Working On MMO War Game 'Foxhole'

Coming off the heels of Fortified (which I think is a lot of fun), Claptfoot Games let me know they are officially working on Foxhole, a massive multiplayer online game where you work and fight with players in a never ending war. It's currently in an early stage, having just released 0.0.4 version on Steam a few days ago.

"Foxhole is a massively multiplayer game where you will work with hundreds of players to shape the outcome of a persistent online war. This is the ultimate game of collaborative strategy and tactics. Every action you take can have a powerful and permanent effect across a vast world in a constant state of war."

You can download the Alpha version of the game on Steam right now, and check out the team on Twitter and PAX.

Alto's Adventure Course Arrives In Stickman Golf 3

The gang over at Snowman is at it again, this time next year it's possible Alto's Adventure has taken over the world.  You can download and play Alto's Ridge, a level based on Alto's Adventure in Stickman Golf 3.

"But then we decided to bring something familiar to the world of SSG3. After becoming close with the team at Snowman while helping out with the Alto’s Android release, we thought it would be really cool too bring their beautiful designs to the Super Stickman Golf world.
Not unlike the Super Meat Boy course from SSG2, “Alto’s Ridge” brings in the gorgeous design work the game is famous for, along with some unique new ways to explore the artwork from the game."

You can download the level in Stickman Golf 3, but it does require the premium version of the app, which you can download here. While you're at it, make sure to pick up Alto's Adventure as well!

Watch Dogs 2 Open World Gameplay

We're heading into the holiday season, and so Ubisoft is in full force with its Watch Dogs 2 hype. You can check out some Open World gameplay with multiplayer elements.

"Watch the first-ever open world, free-roam gameplay walkthrough for Watch Dogs 2. In this new demonstration, a small slice of the expansive San Francisco Bay Area is explored, as Marcus wanders through such world-famous landmarks as Coit Tower and Fisherman’s Wharf. Enhanced hacking and driving mechanics, use of drones, deeper customization options and world activities are on display in this extensive look into the gameplay experience. Marcus also encounters various online multiplayer scenarios, where he gets caught in Bounty situations - both as the hunter and the hunted - and joins a friend for co-op missions."

Watch Dogs 2 comes out November 15th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Arcade Physics-Based Flyer 'Kapsul Infinite' Now On Steam

Kapsul Infinite, which was originally released on iOS and Android by indie developer Luke OConner, has made its way onto Steam.  The game pits you in a space capsule, as you go from one platform to another in procedurally generated challenges.

The game features a simple two button control system, with the challenge arising from the mastery required to pilot your space capsule through complex procedurally generated levels. As you progress you will face new twists on the environment that require you to attain new levels of mastery over your little craft. Kapsul Infinite is a small, but endless game, with a strong atmosphere and compelling gameplay.

Kapsul Infinite is available right now on Steam for $4.49

Severed Out On Wii U September 22nd

First it was released on PlayStation Vita, then it was announced it was coming to iOS, Wii U, and 3DS. The iOS version is out for players to enjoy and now we know when the Wii U version comes out.

Nintendo announced the Nindies Summer Jam, and Severed is part of it and will be out September 22nd for Wii U, with the 3DS version coming out sometime in the Fall.

You can check out the video below of what I thought of the iOS version against the Vita version as well:

Part of the same video showed Runbow Pocket coming to 3DS in Q4, so we'll have more on that and Severed 3DS as it becomes available.
