Alone With You Is "Done - Pretty Much"

Indie developer Benjamin Rivers has been tweeting quite a bit about his upcoming game Alone With You, and it looks like we're going to get a release date soon. Check out some of the tweets below (I promise I didn't stalk anyone...)

Alone With You is planned for PlayStation 4, and PlayStation Vita, and from the sounds of it, once E3 has died down a bit, we'll find out more about the sci-fi adventure game. Stay tuned for updates, but in the meantime, maybe check out 9 minutes of the game from late last year.

DrinkBox Studios Bringing Severed To Wii U, iOS, and 3DS This Summer

So Severed didn't stay on Vita Island very long, understandably DrinkBox Studios has announced that Severed will be making its way to 3DS and Wii U as cross-buy title, as well as iOS.  You can check out the announcement trailer below for Nintendo consoles:

Take control of a one-armed heroine named Sasha, wielding a living sword on her journey through a nightmare world in search of her family. Swipe-based touch controls will let you solve puzzles, find secrets, and do battle with a host of disturbing monsters.

Meanwhile DrinkBox Studios tweeted confirming the game is coming to iOS.

Fans of DrinkBox won't have to wait long, all three versions are expected to come out this Summer.

Severed Coming Out Soon? Will Also Include A Platinum Trophy

According to Greg Miller from Kinda Funny Games, Severed has been submitted to PlayStation, and will include a Platinum Trophy. I'm assuming this was mentioned on one of his shows, but I can't find a source so we'll go by this tweet.  I'll update this story with more information if needed, but I'll take any reason to write about DrinkBox Studios.

Cel Damage HD Out On Xbox One March 11th - Preorder Right Now

Announced earlier this month, we now have a confirmed date for Cel Damage HD on Xbox One.  Gamers can go to the Xbox Store to preorder the game at $8.99 and download it ahead of its March 11th release date.

"Take control of the world’s nuttiest cartoon drivers to demolish your friends with insane weapons and wacky arena hazards! Cel Damage HD is the definitive local multiplayer game, so just add a couch and have a blast with your friends and family. Master the single-player mode to get a leg up on the competition!"

The game is also available on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation Vita as a cross-buy game.  You can follow the developer on Twitter while you're waiting for the game to come out.

We Are Doomed Out Now On PlayStation Vita

This week was a big week for Toronto developed games being released on PlayStation consoles. First, Lovers In A Dangerous Spacetime was released on PlayStation 4 and in the same store update, We Are Doomed from Vertex Pop was released on PlayStation Vita.

You can download the game here, which is Cross-Buy with the PlayStation 4 version. Let us know in the comments if you picked up the game!

Finish Line Games Bringing Cel Damage HD To Xbox One

Toronto Indie developer Finish Line Games has announced they'll be bringing their HD rerelease of Cel Damage to Xbox One. The game is currently on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation Vita.

Fourteen years after the crazed cartoon car combat extravaganza blazed a trail of mayhem across the Microsoft Xbox, Finish Line Games is proud to announce that Cel Damage HD is heading to the Xbox One!
Carve a path of cel-shaded destruction with Fowl Mouth, Violet, Sinder, and the rest of the Cel Damage cast, with updated graphics, enhanced gameplay and classic tried-and-true couch-based multiplayer action!

No release date was given yet, but you can follow the developer on FaceBook and Twitter to stay up to date. If you have any PlayStation console, you can pick the game up on the store as the game is cross-play.

Vertex Pop Releasing We Are Doomed To PlayStation Vita Next Month

Indie developer Vertex Pop announced that their twin-stick shooter We Are Doomed will be releasing on PlayStation Vita on February 9th.  The game was previously released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam last year.  The game is also cross-buy with the PS4 version, so if you already own that one, then you own the Vita version.

Above all, We Are Doomed is a skill based game. There is no levelling and no upgrades, just your skills improving over time. If you want to get better, you need to get better! And that takes practice. So it’s a good thing you’ll have your PS Vita on you all the time, eh?

You can check out the full details and tips for playing over at the PlayStation blog, and make sure to follow the developer on Twitter. Let us know in the comments if you plan on picking up We Are Doomed.

Severed Is Closing To Being Done

PlayStation Vita exclusive Severed from DrinkBox Studios is close to being done, according to the developer.  On the blog post, Lead Designer Gary Corriveau, explained some of the final touches they are doing:

The final touches of the game are falling into place. We’re tuning numbers, tidying up animations, mixing the last of the sound effects and music; Polishing the game to it’s full potential. Make no mistake, it’s hard work! Not because of the hours put in or the nature of the work, but because you know you will have to stop at some point. Most of us have enough ‘final touch’ ideas to work on the game for an eternity. But we’re also anxious to get Severed in front of an audience with the hopes they will enjoy playing the game as much as we’ve enjoyed making it. That cognitive dissonance can be difficult at times, but the rewards are well worth it.

Severed was delayed late last year to sometime this year, and it sounds like soon we'll get our chance to play it.  You can check out the full blog post here, and we'll have everything on the game as we get closer to release.
